PHILOSOPHY

An artful blend of the haute and the lowbrow and a love of aesthetic design inform all of Kevin Pruitt’s projects.
The Mineral Wells native is as drawn to a futuristic 20th Century Modern style as he is influenced by “the beauty of being down home.” He explains, “I think of the good things like chicken fried steak and frog legs and riding in pick-up trucks. I love it all. The mix of high and low is important and I try and interject it into things when I can. It reminds me of where I came from.”

This chameleon-like approach to his work allows him to take on projects both large and small and get to the heart of the subject, whether it is fundraising through video or producing live events.

In the entertainment industry, he says, “you’re trying to solicit a response on some level. When you finish a film or a commercial it feels great, but I’m also doing it because it makes me happy. Film and video requires you to be super-diligent, and they also require a sense of humor. You can’t take it too seriously.”

Developing stories and projects that have “a value to them” is the goal that drives this many-faceted entrepreneur.
